"I have worked at Express Solicitors for over a year, during which I have assisted a Partner on complex and high-value claims, with particular focus on, asbestos exposure, lung cancer, psychiatric injury, and fatal accidents at work. This role has required me to handle matters that are not only legally demanding, but also highly sensitive. I have gained experience attending inquests, trial, attending conferences at Chambers with King’s Counsel and meeting with clients in their homes where they are vulnerable. This kind of exposure has strengthened my client care skills and continues to challenge and motivate me as I progress in my career."

Panel Member - Trainee Solicitor - Civil Liberties
" I have progressed into a File Handler within the Civil Liberties team as a Trainee Solicitor. I now manage a caseload of close to 50 cases, acting in claims against the police, prisons, the Ministry of Justice and bailiffs.  My role has developed from pre action work into assisting on litigated cases, including matters heading to trial and jury trial work.  As a result, I have dealt with a broad range of issues including unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, assault, trespass and prison related claims, while regularly reviewing disclosure, analysing evidence and drafting legal documents. What makes the work especially engaging is that no two cases are the same! Each matter turns on its own facts, legal issues and strategic considerations, which makes the role both varied and genuinely rewarding."

Panel Member - Trainee Solicitor - Road Traffic Accident
"I am currently assisting a partner with their caseload within the RTA department. I assist on a variety of cases which is allowing me to develop my skills as a trainee solicitor. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a trial where we secured a successful outcome, and I found this experience extremely rewarding. This role can be challenging; however, I have learnt a lot, and I am becoming increasingly confident in my abilities. Ultimately, I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Express and value the experience, support and professional growth that it provides."

Panel Member - Trainee Solicitor - Clinical Negligence
As a Clinical Negligence Trainee Solicitor, no two days are the same. Much of my day involves analysing medical records, drafting client and legal documents, and liaising with clients, medical experts and defendants. I also assist with investigating new potential claims by speaking with prospective clients, gathering key information and carrying out initial research to assess whether there may be evidence of negligence. Alongside this, I support the team with case preparation, including organising evidence, preparing instructions to experts and ensuring matters progress efficiently. The role provides a great balance of legal analysis, client interaction and collaborative teamwork
